Hello everyone,
Another great week in the Denmark mission. We went to the temple this week and got to hear from our mission president one last time! We had a good meeting and heard some powerful things! We are very sad to see him leave and honestly it won't be the same without him! He will forever leave a huge imprint on me and I am so grateful that I know him.
The highlight of this last week was just the work that we did even though honestly it was very hard to find people. We have been loving the time and hope to continue the push to find new people.
This week (Friday) started with a busy schedule and lots of appointments that we made it to. We talked with an inactive member about coming back and met with a family from Africa and talked about prophets and the gospel! We have been having some fun teaching this family and they are coming a long way in their knowledge of the gospel. It also helps me come a long way in my conversion to Christ. I love how that works.
A big part of our weekend was also used to prepare for the ward party to honour 50 years of our church building in Aalborg! The church has been going strong and although some have come and gone we are so happy for the environment that this brings! We have seen the joy that they have and have had in the years leading up to this celebration. So many good people carry on the work here in Denmark.
It reminds me of the stories of the earlier saints and the struggles they went through to come to Zion! It really is a reminder that we can stand against the norms of the world and be disciples of Christ anywhere. I really have felt the spirit so strongly around these members!
The party on Saturday was great and we had a number of friends come and just have a fun time! There was great food and we even got to sing a song. I'll try getting the link to the video below but if not then I will send it next week!
On Sunday, it was also a special day as it was a ward conference. We saw the stake leaders, some of which I know from Aarhus, come up and speak to us. It was lovely to see their faith and purpose for helping the members and the church. They also provided more food after the meetings which is always a plus!
To the end of the week we have had quite a few good conversations and just loved the opportunity to find and teach. We hope to help more and be a better example.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.
See you all next week!
Love,
Elder Lines
